Lacrosse shooting is vital to lacrosse. Lacrosse is one of the team sport originated and played mostly by Native Americans. It is played using just like soccer but instead of kicking a soccer ball, a small rubber ball is involved and a lacrosse stick is necessary. Lacrosse stick, or crosse to others, is a mesh-like or net-like racquet attached in a long handle. Normally, its scoring process is by shooting the small ball into the opponent’s goal. The ball should be pass, carry, catch and shoot to the goal using the lacrosse stick.
A short stick, often used by attack players, has a measurement of 1 to 1.1 meters. For defenders, it should ranges from 1.3 to 1.8 meters. A goalkeeper, on the other hand, must have lacrosse stick that measures between 1 meter to 1.8 meter long.
Just like football, lacrosse shooting is a physical game but not to the extent of being violent. It does not only need good physical fitness but also needs extra knowledge and practice on handling the lacrosse stick. The team should be mainly affected on what type of lacrosse game you are into.
There are four types of lacrosse shooting:

- · Intercrosse
One must have the basic skill on handling the lacrosse stick and shooting the ball. You must also know the proper stunts in order to avoid accidents and later sprains. Like for example, when you are right-handed, your left foot should lead. Same when you are left-handed. You should have enough power hips when shooting the ball to the goal, especially if your lacrosse shots are from afar off.
Lacrosse shooting has been played in college universities. Its popularity is growing and thus, lacrosse game is slowly taking its way to Canada, Australia, UK, and to any selected parts of the globe.
